Pastor Chuck
Malson, that's me, wife Kate, and son Owen, have
been at BCUB since 1981. Daughters April and
Audrey are both married and live out of state.
Owen is a college student. Kate and I spent most
of our growing up years in Flint, Michigan where
we met in High School. After four years of
marriage and birth of April, we moved to
Huntington, IN., where I finished my Bachelor's
degree in Christian Education. After two years
and the birth of Audrey, we moved to our first
pastorate in Barry County, MI. During the four
years there, I commuted to Huntington to finish
my Master's degree in Christian Ministries. Owen
was born there just a year before God and the
conference moved us all to Clare.
In the 24 years here
we have enjoyed a wonderful ministry in a great congregation that has
grown from about 110 in 1981 to about 360 in 2004. We have some of the
most loving Christian people in the world here, and my family and I have
enjoyed life here immensely. |

I grew up in New
Castle, Pennsylvania. I felt God calling me to youth ministry when
I was 13 years old. God confirmed that call through my next year
in high school. After graduating I attended Huntington College,
now Huntington University, where I received a degree in youth
ministry. On November 1 of 1995 I started as the full time youth
pastor at BCUB. |
